09/01/2024
Hey Avocado Lover,
Avo good school holiday with New Zealand avocados!
The school holidays present the perfect opportunity to explore culinary adventures with your kids and introduce them to nourishing exciting flavours. Make avocados your top choice for a nutritious and delicious addition to their palate.
Avocados are a nutritional powerhouse, brimming with essential vitamins, minerals, and healthy fats that support every aspect of a child’s growth and development. They provide a valuable source of monounsaturated fats, crucial for heart health and brain development. Avocados are rich in dietary fiber, and aid digestion.
Avocado’s versatility makes them an ideal addition to a wide range of dishes, from creamy guacamole to nutrient-packed smoothies. As parents, introducing avocados to our children not only offers them a delicious and satisfying culinary experience but also sets the foundation for a lifetime of healthy eating habits, ensuring they thrive with every creamy, nutrient-packed bite.
Avocado cream dip
Getting the kids involved is a great way to encourage healthy eating habits. Avocado cream dip is tasty and a fun snack the kids will love. Try this avocado dip to get the kids in the kitchen and trying something new these school holidays.
Serving suggestions:
The mix can be used to fill cherry tomatoes- like we have. Cut the cherry tomatoes in half long-ways and de-seed. Pipe the chilled cream filling into the de-seeded tomato halves.
Encourage kids creativity as this dip can be paired with a range of combinations to create a multitude of snacks. We have filled the centre of cherry tomatoes but it would make a tasty dip for crackers, veggies, or chips. Filling celery sticks or spread in a sandwich works too!
